Wisdom

Wisdom
I Cor.1:25-27 NKJV
"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;"
What makes more sense: utilizing one's own limited strength and resources or allowing unlimited resources and strength to work through you? Consider the ramifications of doing this and consider the logic of the alternative.

In God's wisdom, He has given us the means, the time, the opportunity, the instructions on the how, the outline, even real life examples of how it is all to be done. Through following Him, ultimately His Son, we have access to unlimited resources and Divine wisdom; we have the direct word from our Creator and Sustainer. What sense does it make for us to try and go through this life on our own faulty, foolish, fallible, and limited wisdom? The Eternal Creator has given our eternal soul the wisdom it needs to live forever with Him; we would be fools - in every sense of that word - to reject His wisdom and go it alone.

What sort of life are you living? Is your life one that is living and breathing in the foolishness of this world, thinking yourself wise, when in reality you're a fool? To reject God, His word, His way is truly the height of foolishness and it will condemn us for eternity.

Now, how wise or foolish will we be this day? Our answer is not in what we say, for man can speak an awfully good game, rather it is in what we actually do. We will be judged by the deeds done in this flesh; will we conduct ourselves through God's unlimited revealed wisdom or man's finite, fake, and foolish attempt at wisdom? Reject the "wisdom" of this world and accept the true wisdom of God. Our eternal home is weighed in the balance of our deeds, choose to walk with God here so we can dwell in eternity with Him there. Be wise today.
